Resistant Maltodextrin

A water-soluble dietary fiber recognized for post-meal blood glucose, triglyceride, and bowel movement functionality

Resistant maltodextrin is a water-soluble dietary fiber made mainly from corn starch. Most of it is not absorbed in the small intestine, so it is low in calories. It dissolves easily in water and has almost no taste or thickness.

It is an ingredient for health functional foods whose standards and specifications are officially announced by Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS). Three functionalities are recognized: it “may help suppress the rise in blood glucose after meals,” “may help improve blood triglyceride levels,” and “may help support regular bowel movements.”
