Metabolic syndrome
Metabolic syndrome is defined when three or more of the following five criteria are met.
| Abdominal obesity | Waist ≥90 cm (men), ≥85 cm (women) |

| High blood pressure | ≥130/85 mmHg or on medication |
| High fasting glucose | ≥100 mg/dL or on medication |
| High triglycerides | ≥150 mg/dL or on medication |
| Low HDL cholesterol | <40 mg/dL (men), <50 mg/dL (women) |
