Metabolic Syndrome Risk Check

Check your body's metabolic signals by the numbers

Key summary

The metabolic syndrome self-check compares five items with their reference values: waist circumference (Korean criteria), blood pressure, fasting blood glucose, triglycerides, and HDL cholesterol. If three or more apply, you meet the criteria for metabolic syndrome, and you should get an accurate diagnosis at a medical facility. The values you enter in this tool are not sent to a server.

Frequently asked questions

Are the values I enter saved?
No. All calculations happen only in your own browser. Nothing is sent to or stored on the Association's servers.
I take blood pressure medication, so my blood pressure is normal. What should I do?
Under the metabolic syndrome diagnostic criteria, if you are taking medication for blood pressure, blood glucose, or lipids, that item is considered met regardless of the value. Please tick the checkbox.
